What is Reflections In Spiritual Enlightenment?
Reflections In Spiritual Enlightenment (also know as R.I.S.E.) is an interdenominational spiritual renewal weekend open to everyone who wishes to experience the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. Our objective is to develop Christian leaders and to create a Christian community, with the hope that they bring Christian action to their homes, churches, work places, and communities. Our mission is to lower the barriers and labels that organized religions have put upon us and stand together, united by our love for Jesus and our neighbors. Our method is an intensive spiritual renewal weekend in the similar fashion of Cursillo, Via De Cristo, Walk to Emmaus, Tres Dias, Kairos Prison Ministry, and more. The weekend begins Thursday evening till Sunday afternoon with various talks that encourage both individual and spiritual growth. Our intention is not to be a conversion experience but an enriching and deepening of what is already there. R.I.S.E. is not a once in a lifetime experience, because we encourage our members to stay with us and serve our community and make it a way of life. Besides those who experienced a R.I.S.E. weekend we welcome anyone from other qualifying three-day Christian weekends to be apart of our community and serve.
R.I.S.E. is patterned on Jesus' own example. He simply invited others follow him, R.I.S.E. begins in a similar fashion with an invitation.
Our weekends are held twice a year at Enchanted Hills Camp for Blind and Visually Impaired in Napa; surrounded by the beauty of mountains and forest.
